PUPILS from Cotford St Luke Primary School took on the best in the country in the national final of a science quiz held at Oxford
University’s Museum of Natural History.
The team of Charlie Strong, James Lorimer, Rhys Gagg and Rohan Farmer came fourth in the quiz for children in Years 5 and 6. They were among 11 teams in the final after sailing through previous rounds in Bristol and Basingstoke.
Head teacher James Geen said: “We’re really proud of the children – they did exceptionally well to get there, let alone finish fourth in the whole country.
“There were some incredibly difficult questions and it was impressive how many answers they knew considering the complex level.”
The team members will be presented with their certificates at a school assembly, along with a science-themed gift to mark their achievement.
