DAFFODILS and a butterfly in December are a rare sight but WWN reader Douglas Marshall spotted them both in Wellington.

He pictured the daffodils at Bishops Court on December 28 but said they were blooming before Christmas and the Red Admiral butterfly at Buckwell on December 16.
