Bell which has seen one hundred years of town crying in WellingtonThe pipe organ, built by Forster and Andrews, of Hull, recently underwent an extensive six-week restoration and has now been re-fitted in the church, which is believed to date to 1204 and saw a combined vestry and organ chamber added in 1873.
Sunday’s rededication is at 5.30 pm at the beginning of a simple harvest thanksgiving service.
Somerset Deputy Lord Lieutenant Colin Drummond, who lives in Langford Budville, has agreed to play several pieces for the congregation’s enjoyment.
Churchwarden Laurian Cooper said: “We invite you to join us so we may thank you for your generosity in supporting this project.
“Refreshments will follow.”
