THE family of a Burlescombe man who has been missing since December 13 have issued a plea for him to come home for Christmas.

Robin Prescott, 49, has not been seen since 6am that day when he left home to travel to work in Wellington.

He is believed to have boarded the 7.38am train from Taunton to Penzance.

His sister Pamela said: "Robin we are concerned for you. Christmas is a time for families to be together. You have done nothing wrong and we are missing you.

"Please phone home or contact the police and let us know you are safe."

A police spokesman said: "Robin is close to his family and is described as being a loner, keeping himself to himself. This type of behaviour is out of character and his family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for him."

Devon and Cornwall police are now investigating a sighting of a man matching Mr Prescott's description getting off the train at Liskeard at 9.50am on December 13.

Anyone who has seen him or has any information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference 0758 of 131212.
