Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

M5, from 9pm January 2 to 4am January 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to junction 26 lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 10am to 2pm on January 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit slip road lane closure for safety barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
