Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm June 8 to 6am June 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 entry slip - lane closure for technology works.

M5, from 9pm June 13 to 6am June 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to junction 27 carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion via A38.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
