VERA van Heeringen will be playing at Clayhidon’s parish hall today Friday (November 29) – doors open 7p.m., for 7.30 p.m. start.
It’s unusual to find someone who is as good a songwriter as an instrumentalist as Vera. A consummate guitarist, she brings the instrument to life in way that is entirely her own. Vera also writes tunes and songs which deliver straight to – and from – the heart.
A compelling performer with easy warmth on stage, Vera’s live performances are intimate, understated affairs, allowing the music to speak for itself. Outstanding flatpicking, fulsome fiddle playing, heart-breaking lyrics, and assured natural vocal tone and driving tunes are all integral to the show.
Tickets are £9 for an adult, £7 for a child and £25 for a family.
