THE world of Andrew Crosse, a British amateur scientist, will be the focus of a talk to Wiveliscombe Civic & Historical Society next week.

Crosse, an early pioneer and experimenter with electricity, was born and died at Fyne Court in Broomfield, Somerset.

Family member John Porter will talk on ‘Crosse Connections’ on Thursday, January 18, at 7.30pm at Wiveliscombe Community Centre. Admission for guests and visitors is £3 and refreshments will be available.
