A STRICTLY Come Dancing star is putting a Wellington charity at centre stage.

Angela Rippon CBE, patron of local charity Reminiscence Learning, is taking the charity's mascot on tour as she competes in the BBC's popular dancing contest.

'Archie the scarecrow' is the face of the Archie Project, which teaches children across the UK about dementia.

Archie will be joining Angela as she travels across the country with the show, and has already posed for a phot with her dancing partner, Kai.
