THE theme for this year’s Wellington in Bloom competition is to create an animal home and pupils at St John’s Primary School in the town responded by making Bug-Ingham Palace!

The amazing bug hotel was made out of recycled materials given by parents, staff and pupils.

Every pupil in the school contributed to the construction of the bug hotel, and deputy headteacher Linda Roberts and teaching assistant Alan Mitchell led the project.

Linda said: “It really has been a team effort and we are all extremely proud of our bug hotel. We hope to encourage many insects and other creatures to our five-star residence over the coming weeks and months.”
