PEOPLE who love afternoon tea are invited by a farm shop in Somerset for its 25th Anniversary Afternoon Chari-Tea in aid of a national dementia charity based in the county.

Rumwell Farm Shop is hosting the event on Thursday, May 19 from 3pm until 5pm to celebrate its quarter century and to raise money for its one of its charities of the year, Reminiscence Learning.

Anne Mitchell, joint owner of the farm shop, which is located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, said: “We would like to invite people from the area to our very special Afternoon Anniversary Chari-Tea. This is to help us celebrate our 25th birthday and to also raise money for Reminiscence Learning, which is dedicated to responding to individual and community needs, specialising in dementia care, activity and reminiscence.

“The event also takes place during Dementia Action Week (May 16–22), so we hope to raise awareness and start conversations around dementia.

The afternoon tea will take place in the café and costs £19.95 for adults or £26.45 including a mini bottle of prosecco. Tickets for children cost £8.99. One pound from each ticket sale will go to Reminiscence Learning.

The tea will be served on vintage crockery and the café will be decorated with tablecloths, flowers and cake stands to really give the English afternoon tea feel.

Booking is essential and can be done on the website. For more information, call Rumwell Farm Shop, which is located in Rumwell between Taunton and Wellington, on 01823 461599 or visit www.rumwell farmshop.com.
