THE original Taunton Cider company was based at Norton Fitzwarren for all its 190-year existence, between 1805 and 1995 – and at its peak the company employed more than 500 people.
Alan Reeve, who was a director for 20 years, will be giving a talk on the history of the company on Thursday, November 23, in Wellington Prep School hall, South Street, at 7.30pm.
The event is in aid of Wellington Local History and Museum Society. Entrance is £3 or £2 for society members.
