MEMBERS of Wellington Operatic Society are hard at work rehearsing for their next production, Back2Back Bacharach.

The show is the idea of director John Walker who has been planning this compilation of Burt Bacharach songs and music for the past ten years.

He is ably supported by assistant director Charlie Hughes and choreographer/producer Monica Spalding.

MC Phil Taylor will tell the incredible story of Bacharach’s success as a songwriter – he won six Grammy Awards – between the songs.

Back2Back Bacharach runs from Tuesday, November 5, to Saturday, November 9, at Wellington Arts Centre. A Gala Night will be held at the final performance on Saturday with drinks and nibbles.

Evening performances start at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £9 for all the performances, apart from the Gala Night when they are £11. Tickets are available online at ticketsource.co.uk/wellingtonartscentre or Odette’s Tea Room in High Street, Wellington.
