THOUSANDS of people are set to throng the streets of Wellington on Saturday evening for the town’s biggest free show of the year – the annual carnival (7.30).
The event is set to get off to a noisy start when riders in the Harley-Davidson Owners group depart from Rockwell Green and then roar through Wellington town centre.
More than 60 entries have been confirmed for the event, including one from Wellington’s twin town in Portugal, Torres Vedras – Carnival secretary Louise Brierly, who also runs Wellington Majorettes, said: “We very much hope they enjoy the event.”
