A PUBLIC inquiry into controversial plans for up to 265 homes to be built in Rockwell Green re-opened yesterday (Tuesday) with a warning that it might not be ‘third time lucky’.

It was the third attempt to hear arguments for and against the proposed development, after two adjournments earlier this year.

But planning inspector Phillip Ware said the inquiry might yet have to be adjourned again and re-started later in the year.

The inquiry was hearing an appeal by Gladman Developments against the Deane council’s refusal of a planning application last year.

It was set to sit all week at the Albemarle Centre, in Taunton.
