THE Churches Together united service is at St John’s Parish Church in Wellington on Good Friday at 10am.

It will include a time of quiet reflection on the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  

Afterwards, everyone  is welcome to join a silent procession behind the wooden cross through High Street to the Baptist Church in South Street, for hot cross buns and coffee and chat.  

On the way, hot cross buns will be given out to motorists, shopkeepers and shoppers to mark the Christian festival.
