SOME 18 toddlers, children, parents and grandparents from Wellington based group, King's Toddler Time, took part in a sponsored walk in aid of an orphans' programme in Africa.

Wellington railway station housing development could see more homes addedThe group staged the two-hour walk for the Kenyan Orphans' Feeding Programme supported by King's Church Wellington along the canal at Burlescombe raising around £200.
Joining the walkers was the founder of the programme, Tabitha Okumu, currently in the UK visiting her daughter and grandchildren, despite having to use a walking stick since suffering a stroke less than two years ago.
Thanking all who gave their support, Rev Julie Morse said: "The walk is part of fundraising efforts to support children and families affected by the HIV and AIDs.
"All proceeds of this and other fundraising initiatives go directly to the feeding programme and help to provide food, shelter, education and medication for many children in Tabitha's Kenyan village."
