SOME 34 walkers assembled at Chelston roundabout, Wellington to re-enact the ancient custom of beating the bounds of the parish.
It's the first time the tradition had been carried out since 1983, and saw the walkers traverse the seven-mile route around the edge of the town in around four hours.
