ENTRANTS in the Welly Fun Run this spring will be running in fancy dress and wellies.

The event on Sunday, March 20, begins at 11am at Wellington Rugby Club with the run starting at noon. It is being organised by Wellington Experience.

The roughly 3.7km route will include running through the town and some cross-country running.

Two other courses, one for children aged five and under and one for youngsters ten and under, will be around the rugby pitches.

Entry fees are £5 for adults and £3 for under-18s payable by March 11 or on the day with a 50/50 sponsorship available by email from Sue White at the WWN at [email protected] or from the WWN office – or for more information phone 07592 599086.

The 50/50 sponsorship means half the profits will go to Wellington Hospital League of Friends and half to the participant’s chosen club/charity.

If the entrant wishes, all the sponsorship money can go to Wellington Hospital League of Friends. All entrants will be given a medal for taking part and prize money is on offer for the winners of the adult and children’s races.
