Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.
On Thursday mum, dad and I went on a picnic. We had small sandwiches and cakes and we played football in the park. When we got home I did the washing up and mum had the idea that we could paint our own pottery, but she would have to get the supplies tomorrow. In the evening we ate dinner in front of the TV and watched the film ‘Monsters Inc’.
On Friday mum went shopping and came back with a white mug, plate and special paints so we could make our own design. I painted stripes on the mug with blue, yellow and green paints, and used the same colours on the plate but drew spots instead. We have to wait for them to dry before we can use them. In the afternoon I spent time doing chores like watering the plants and vacuuming in the house – as a reward mum and dad said I could choose a takeaway! I chose fish and chips and it was yummy.
On Saturday it was really sunny so we went to the beach! We relaxed on the sand and read books all morning. We also had a picnic and I paddled in the sea. In the afternoon I made sandcastles and collected rocks to take home.

Warning issued for whole of Christmas Day as strong winds set to hit WestcountryOn Sunday we went on a walk up a hill so we could see the view. I asked dad if we could build a go-kart because going down the hill would’ve been much more fun on wheels. He thought it was a good idea, so when we got home we started building one. We used an old sledge and made it stronger with more wood, tomorrow we will add the wheels and later we will paint it.
On Monday I really wanted to finish building the go-kart but mum said I had to do some schoolwork. I am continuing to research foods from around the world and I made pasta – from Italy – for lunch. Pasta is really hard to make but it was definitely worth it! In the afternoon dad helped me build the go-kart. It is looking really good. We attached the wheels but we need to make sure it is safe, so we are adding a steering wheel. In the evening me, mum and dad watched TV and I read my book before bed.
On Tuesday I made a Spanish omelette for breakfast, which is like a normal omelette but with potatoes and peppers. Mum and dad really liked it but I thought it was a bit strange. I did some schoolwork in the morning, and began testing the go-kart after lunch. We still need to paint it and make it stronger before I ride it down the hill. I’m excited to finish it next week!
Have a good week kids!
