THOUSANDS of visitors and more than 90 stalls are set to fill Wellington town centre when the annual Eat: Wellington Food and Drink Festival is held.

The event on Saturday, September 2, from 10am-4pm will feature a packed programme of activities including pop-up cookery school, food talks and demo stage alongside tractors, buskers and entertainers.

Stefano and Rachael of North Street, Wellington, deli Olive & Rosy will be running free workshops throughout the day for adults and families. They will share their Italian family favourites in the Community Centre from 11am.

Local food, farming and drink representatives will chat with BBC Somerset presenters in food talks in the Community Centre from 11.30am.

And the line-up in the The Fresh Ideas demo kitchen, from 11.30am in the Scout Hall, includes ‘The School Chef’ Steve Fowell, Odette’s tearoom from Wellington and Guddi & Nikki from Taunton.
