QUEEN of the Scythe Andi Rickard has been teaching Matt Baker how to use the tool for BBC television programme Countryfile.

Andi, from Wellington, gave him an introductory lesson as part of filming for two five-minute segments of the programme set to be screened on Sunday.

Andi, who can cut 25 square metres of grass in around two minutes, says her razor sharp scythe is good enough to shave with and cuts lower than any mower.
