THE memories occasioned by Remembrance Day were very much in mind as Wellington Library Friends’ Group planned the latest in its planned series of talks.

Local author Mike Perry’s book ‘Our Boys’ began with the names on the war memorial in Wellington Park. Taking these as a starting point local historian Colin Spackman will focus on Wellington at the time of the First World War.

The talk is in the library tomorrow (Thursday) and starts at 2.30pm. Admission is £3.
