Wellington park bridge is set to disappear for around a month while a replacement is manufactured.

The bridge is set to go o September 20 and it is hoped that a new one will take its place by the end of October.

Works are also set to take place to the waterfall and pond over the same period.

The work is being carried out by Somerset Council and will see some pathways around the area closed off.

A notice issued on behalf of Somerset Council read: "The much-loved bridge at Wellington Park will be out of action for a few weeks later this year as a new one is manufactured and put in place. The bridge will be removed around September 20th and the pathways in this area will be closed off.

"The new bridge will take a few weeks to make but everything should be in place by the end of October. During this time, works to the waterfall and the pond itself will also be undertaken. This work is being undertaken by Somerset Council, the owners of Wellington Park. We will keep you updated on any changes closer to the time."
