THE ninth May Day Fete, held in Wellington Park on Monday, saw youth, church and all-age groups taking part to raise funds and advertise themselves.

Among youth groups taking part were local Scouts and Guides, Army cadets, and St John Ambulance, Wellington Arts Association and a number of charities.

The fete kicked off a programme of Summer events which starts at the end of May.
