YEAR 3 pupils at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have enjoyed an amazing sleepover in the hall.
This was preparation for their residential trips which begin in Year 4. On the Thursday, all children walked nine miles to Wellington Monument and back. The staff were incredibly proud of all the children who were up for the challenge and blown away with their positive attitudes, behaviour and determination to make it.
During the afternoon/evening, the children enjoyed games on the cricket field, chill-out time at school, dinner at the Rugby Club, a night walk around Wellington Basins and toasting marshmallows in the school grounds.
Everyone had a late night and little sleep, with all staff and children having to be woken before breakfast club started for the rest of the school. On the Friday, both staff and children enjoyed the best day with a two-hour bounce at Flip Out followed by lunch in the park. As staff commented on how lovely it was to see the children having so much fun and a great way to round off a busy year.
