Wellington's Choral Society has extended an invitation to local singers to join the group.

The society have moved to a new venue at the Prep School Hall in Wellington School, where they are welcoming singers of every level of experience.

Musical director Laurence Blyth is at the helm of the group, who are embarking on a musical programme consisting of Italian baroque music.

A spokesperson for the society invited residents to come along and have a go: "This will be a great programme of music and we welcome new singers to come and join us or to come and try us out.

"We are a friendly choir and our Musical Director Laurence Blyth welcomes singers of all level of experience. If you have never sung choral music before don't be put it off, come and give it a go."

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at the Prep School Hall between 7.30 pm and 9 pm.
