WELLINGTON junction for the M5 near Wellington is set to close for three months from June.

All entry and exit slip roads at junction 26 at Chelston will be closed from 9pm on June 15 until 8am on September 16 - for 24 hours per day - as part of the Somerset Council Chelston Link Improvement Scheme.

Drivers who would otherwise take the northbound entry and exit slip roads will be diverted via the M5 Junction 25 (Taunton), the A358 and the A38, and for the southbound entry and exit slips, drivers will be diverted via M5 junction 27 (Cullompton) and the A38.

The Chelston link road will be closed from June 16 until September 16, and Sawyers Hill – the road to West Buckland – will be closed from June 1 - October 3.
