PEOPLE in Wellington are getting the chance to see themselves on regional television next week when ITV West Country features the town in its Budget coverage.
And local business people are giving the Chancellor George Osborne some considered advice as to how to get the economy moving again.
The programme's Wellington coverage is taking place as a result of an invitation from Wellington Business Association to present a "Budget Special" live from the town.
Business correspondent Seth Conway has already visited the town with a film crew to record some preliminary material.
WBA chair Ian Stock said: "Producer Gill Hoyle liked the idea of using Wellington as a perfect 'case study' town.
"Her team spent a day filming local businesses and asking budget-related questions."
Among those interviewed were local butcher Tim Potter, motor engineer Mike Pidgeon, Wellington estate agent Nick Girone-Maddocks and Relyon MD Andy Murdoch.
The items are scheduled go out on ITV West news first at 6pm on Tuesday, March 19 and then at 6pm on Wednesday 20 for a live broadcast budget reaction featuring a number of pre-invited local businesses.
