BAGBOROUGH moved up to within 13 points of leaders Kilve after beating Stoke St Mary by five wickets away in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League.
The home side, put into bat, were bowled out for 158 with openers George Johnston scoring 65, which included eight boundaries. Nick Flynn (21) added some useful early order runs. Mathew Rafill took 4-26 and Blake Jones 4-33.
Bagborough made a bright start with openers Jed Glanvill (65) and Tom Eve (29) in good shape but Stoke hit back, causing some problems for the visitors before they finally crossed the line
There were no games in Division Two which means leaders Ashbrittle still have a 50-point lead over second-placed Huish Champflower.
In Division Three West Monkton could not fulfil their match against leaders Watchet who remain 48 points clear of second-placed Carhampton, who hammered North Curry by 143 runs.
Cannington, still in with a chance of promotion, were 98-run winners against Bishops Hull.
In the only game played in Division Four, Hemyock beat Stoke St Mary by 47 runs to close the gap on leaders Sampford Arundel to only 45 points - and they also have a game in hand.
Jalal Ahmed (64) and Adam May (84 not out) were the main run-getters for Hemyock who scored 177-4 . In replay Stoke were 130-7.
Charlie Nation (30) and Richard Hingston (44) put on 74 for Stoke's first wicket but they then lost seven wickets in adding 38 runs. Jalal Ahmed snapped up 5-22.
A number of games in the league were cancelled because of the bad weather.
