TWO representatives from Wellington Bowling Club’s sponsors came along to help present the prizes to bowlers who had won club competitions during an eventful past year.

Darren Webber, who is the Group Marketing Manager for Wellington Motor Group, and Archie Lang, Sales Executive for Wellington Omoda and Jaecoo, were pleased to support the club and meet many of the competition winners.

All the competitions were extremely well organised and run by competition secretary, Janet Moore.

Many club members attended the presentation in order to applaud the competition winners..

Winners of the Indoor Season 2024/25 included: Ladies Singles Champion. Liz May. Runner-up – June Anderson. Men's Singles Champion:- Nick Channon. Runner-up, Darren Sparks. Open Singles Champion:- Ian Hollingsworth. Runner-up Nick Channon. Mixed Pairs Champions:- Sue and Nick Channon. Runners-up, Liz and Mike Copping.

The Afternoon League Champions were Ian Hollingsworth's Trailblazers. Steve Horrill's Spoofers were the Men's League Champions. The Weekend League Champions were Nick Channon's Woodpeckers. The Ladies' Friday League Champions were Janet Moore's Hazels. The Ladies' Thursday League Champions were Diana Dagg's Wrens.

Winners of the Outdoor Season 2025 included: Ladies Championship winner – Marguerite Nichols. Runner-up Debbie Lane. Ladies Handicap Singles winner:- June Anderson. Runner-up Pauline Wadham. Ladies Two Woods winner:- June Anderson. Runner-up Monica Carter. The Amy Stanton Mixed Pairs winners were Cliff Trott and Pauline Wadham. Runners-up Mike and Gill Groves.

The Open Championship winner was:- Ian Hollingsworth. Runner-up Mike Connor. Men's Championship winner:- Julian Street. Runner-up, Peter Nichols. Men's Handicap Singles winner:- Julian Street. Runner-up, Peter Nichols. Men's 2 Wood winner:- Jay Merrell. Runner-up, Peter White.
