ROCKWELL Green Shortmat Bowls Club were pleased to welcome a small contingent from Willand to the village hall for a 4 mat friendly match.

First up (Green names first ), Syd, John G & Brian v Jen, Janey &Mick. Things didn't go well for the visitors, finding themselves 6--1down after 5 ends. They did pull 2 shots back but the Green trio romped away to finish 13--3 winners.

Mat 2: Mick, John St & Reg v Jean, Matt & Doug. The Green edged in front early on toecord a 11--6 home win.

After the break .Mat 3 Joy, Bill & Bob v Jen, Janey & Mick. The Green trio were in unforgiving form and romped home 25-1.

Mat 4 Graham, Christine & Mike R v Jean, Matt & Doug. Again the Green dominated the match going into a 7--3 lead after 6 ends. Willand just could not recover, the Green taking the game 11--6.

It ended a very pleasant evening between two clubs who enjoyed each others company.
