THE Taunton Area of Somerset County Cricket Club are holding their annual summer barbecue on Thursday, July 13, after the final day of the LV=Championship match against Hampshire.

This is always one of the highlights of any cricket season and will give those who attend the opportunity to meet many of the Somerset county cricketers who will be in attendance.

Among those who will be present will be Max Waller who is enjoying a well deserved Testimonial in 2023 and the fund raising on the evening will go towards this.

The BBQ will be taking place at Howzat at Fitzhead (TA4 3JP), the home of Mary Elworthy, and tickets costing £5 per person can be obtained from Mary on 01823 400679.

The event is always a very enjoyable and special cricketing occasion.
