CHAMPIONS Ashbrittle will almost certainly have to win all their remaining matches in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League if they are going to retain their title.

Last season’s winners are now down in fourth place following their latest loss to leaders Kilve - and now trail their rivals by 72 points although they have a game in hand.

Watchet, who are still unbeaten and are only 16 points behind Kilve with a game in hand, are home to third-placed Bridgetown who are also in good form.

At the other end of the table, Winsford will be chasing their first win of the season when they play away to Bagborough.

Crowcombe, who have a 114-point lead at the top of Division Two, will be chasing their 11th win of the summer away to Stoke St Mary. With second-placed Lydeard St Lawrence not playing, Crowcombe will extend their big lead if they win again.

In Division Four, top of the table Buckland St Mary & Bishopswood play at home to seventh-placed Over Stowey while Fitzhead, in second spot, entertain Spaxton .
