THE full fixture list for both Somerset men and women’s teams have been announced, and those supporters who arrange their holidays around the fixtures can now go ahead and start planning for next summer.

The 2026 Rothesay County Championship will be played in three blocks of matches with each county playing a total of 14 matches. Somerset begin the quest for that elusive County Championship title by welcoming reigning champions Nottinghamshire to the Cooper Associates County Ground on Friday, April 3..

The final County Championship match of the season sees Surrey visit Taunton in what could be a winner-takes-all title decider! In Division One Somerset will be playing against Essex, Glamorgan, Hampshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Surrey, Sussex,Warwickshire and Yorkshire.

Somerset begin the defence of the Vitality Blast crown with a repeat of the 2025 final when we welcome Hampshire Hawks to the Cooper Associates County Ground on Friday, May 22.

The big home local derby against Gloucestershire is on Friday, June 26, with the away match in Bristol taking place on Friday, June 5.. Glamorgan and Warwickshire Bears visit Taunton on June 4 and 7 respectively while the Cidermen finish the group stage with home games against Northants Steelbacks and Worcestershire Rapids in July. Away matches will feature trips to Warwickshire Bears, Glamorgan, Worcestershire Rapids, Northants Steelbacks and Derbyshire Falcons.

The groups for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup men’s competition were randomly drawn, with each county playing the other counties in their group once. Somerset have been drawn in Group A where they will face Gloucestershire, Kent Spitfires, Lancashire, Leicestershire Foxes, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Surrey and , Warwickshire.

The final of the men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup will be staged at Trent Bridge on September 20.

Somerset Women open their season in the Metro Bank One Day Day Cup where they have been drawn in a group with Durham, Essex, Hampshire, Lancashire, Surrey, The Blaze, Warwickshire and Yorkshire who they play both home and away.

Their first match is on Saturday, April 11, against Yorkshire at home before they travel away to face Lancashire a week later. They then return to host Surrey on 25th April and four days afterwards are at home to Essex.

The final match of the competition will be at Utilita Bowl in Southampton on Saturday, September 19.

In the women’s Vitality Blast, Somerset begin their 2026 campaign with a home double header against Hampshire Hawks on Friday, May 22, before another double header against Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston two days later. Warwickshire Bears visit Taunton on June 7 and Somerset Women host Durham on June 26 as part of a double header which will see Somerset men take on Gloucestershire.

Surrey visit Taunton on June 28 before Somerset travel to Headingley to take on Yorkshire in a double header and visit Essex on July 7. Somerset make the trip to Trent Bridge to face The Blaze on July 10 before finishing the group stage with a home double header fixture against Essex on July 12th.

Somerset women will also be playing in the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup on 21st June but as they don’t enter the competition until the third round their opponents are as yet unknown and will depend on the outcome of earlier games.
