IT MAY still be the middle of winter but it’s less than 100 days until Somerset County Cricket Club are scheduled to play their first home fixture against Exeter University at Taunton Vale Sports Club on Sunday, March 31.

With the 2024 season very much in mind Somerset CCC will be hosting a Member Open Day on Monday, January 15, which is a free event when those attending will have the opportunity to look behind the scenes at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton and find out exactly what the club has to offer. Later that month Somerset CCC will be hosting a Members’ Lunch in the Stragglers Coffee House starting at 12.30pm when the guest speaker will be Nick Pepper, the new Somerset head groundsperson.

This event will also give those attending a chance to catch up with like minded people and chat about all things Somerset.

Looking further ahead the Somerset CCC Annual Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, May 29, in the Colin Atkinson Pavilion.
