WELLINGTON Cricket Club’s youth section celebrated their season on Friday evening at The Playing Fields when the awards for batting, bowling, overall player and manager’s player, were all given in each of the three age groups - U11, U13 and U15.

A large gathering of children and parents, enjoyed a barbecue, followed by the awards ceremony, as the U11 sponsor Symon Jefferey of Wilkie May and Tuckwood, U13 sponsor Dave Knight of DCK garages and U15 sponsor Tony Hutchings of Domestic Bliss Cleaning Services were on hand to award the trophies.

U11 awards – Batting Thomas Hopkins, Bowling Thomas Gendall, Overall player James Weymouth and managers player Lucy Hill. James Weymouth also received a mounted match ball for his majestic 4 wickets in 4 balls against Taunton St Andrews.

U13 awards – Batting Ben Wardell, (pictured back page), Bowling Ben White, Overall player Callum Hendy and managers player Alex Derbidge.

U15 awards – Batting Oliver Beale, (picture back page), Bowling Callum Hamer, Overall player Oliver Beale and managers player Jonty Ogilvie.
