CHAMPION skittler Pete Drohan, who won titles in both Wellington and Taunton, has died at the age of 80.

Marc Bright, secretary of the Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League, said this week: "The league is saddened to hear of the passing of Pete Drohan. Pete was a revered figure who dedicated many years to playing for, and leading, the Railwayites skittles team and he left an indelible mark on the league.

"His remarkable achievement as the 2017 winner of the Graham Jennings Memorial Shield is fondly remembered and was the final highlight in Pete’s time as a player. Pete was an unwavering advocate for our league, offering steadfast support that will be deeply missed.

“He extend our heartfelt and sincere condolences to his children, daughter Judith, and son Michael, who was a former player and captain of Wardens. Pete's legacy will forever remain a cherished part of our league's history.”
