EVA Mae Halliwell, aged ten, of Wellington, received the highest score of the day on beam and took silver and second place overall at the Devon Levels Gymnastics Competition.
She missed gold by just point 3 of a point.
Eva was selected to join Exeter’s elite squad in April this year and this was her first South West competition.
Eva used to attend Tone Gymnastics at recreational level for just an hour a week before being selected to join the squad at Exeter, where she now dedicates 15 hours a week to her sport
