HEMYOCK look set to play their first home game of the 2020-21 season in Division Two West of the Devon and Exeter League tomorrow (Sat) and will be looking for revenge when St Martins make the trip to Longmead.

In Hemyock’s only other league game this season, St Martins were their hosts and handed out a 6-1 humbling. Hemyock will have to improve if they are to avoid a similar result.

With any luck and a fair wind, it is hoped rookie manager Sam Iddon will have a full squad to choose from. This will give him a selection headache but also give him the opportunity to show all of his intentions going forward.

With the pitch looking good – new goals, dugouts and advertising boards are in place and a new kit in use, all that is needed now is that all-important first three points.

Although the team have already used their new kit, Saturday will see the official handover from main sponsor Brendan Kingston of Window Warehouse Devon Ltd before the match.
