WELLINGTON will have top scorer Joe Chamberlain back in the side for Saturday’s home game against stylish Plymouth Parkway in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League (3p.m.).
Clive Jones’ boys are struggling to score goals and lost 2-0 at home to promotion chasing Westbury United on Saturday.
“We played very well in the first half but you cannot win games without scoring,” he said. “It’s no good looking pretty if you can’t score.
“Our other two senior sides - the Reserves and A team - both won so I think the club is in a good place. I said when I came here that I wanted Wellington to become an established premier division side. We’re gradually getting there. I was also very pleased with the turnout at training last week - 32. We must be doing something right!”
Wellington may have to rule out Conor Bryant (facial injury) from playing against Parkway while both Scott Drayton and George Rogers are both unavailable.
“Conor is having his stitches out this week and I will have a talk with him,” said Jones. “I think the only thing really missing from the side is quality. I can’t ask players to do things they cannot do.”
