THERE is likely to be a pitch inspection ahead of Wellington’s away tie against Cheddar in the quarter-finals of the Jewson Western League’s Les Phillip Cup tonight (Tues).

The game has been called off three times because of the bad weather and Wellington have already lost home advantage following postponements because of rain.

Wellington are desperate to get back into action after having their last six matches called off, the latest being at home to Bradford Town in the Premier Division of the Jewson League on Saturday (Feb 14).

Richard Cherry’s boys have not played since they beat Shepton Mallet 2-1 at home in the last round of the competition more than four weeks ago.

They are lying 16th in the Premier Division but have games in hand on teams around them.
