WELLINGTON motorcycle racer, teenager Bradley Richman, will make the leap to the pinnacle of British motorcycle racing this year by progressing from club racing with NG Road Racing to the Superstock 600 class in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), writes Kerry Rawson.

In 2019 he started the season on his trusty 400 machine, quickly changing mid year to the bigger 600 bike so he could compete on the more powerful motorcycle, finishing consistently in the top 15, regularly scoring points.

The jump to BSB was originally planned for later in 2020, with a full season programmed for 2021 but the family have revealed that the move has been brought forward, which everyone’s really excited about.

Details on the actual team he’ll be joining and machine he’s competing on will be announced shortly, but in the meantime Bradley has been concentrating hard on his preparation for what lies ahead. During the winter break he’s been staying machine sharp by riding/racing his pit bike and mini moto, both at indoor and outdoor circuits.  He had his first race on-board the pit bike a few weeks back at Clay Pigeon where

He qualified 9th and in the three races he finished 6th, 3rd and 4th and enjoyed every minute of it.

Bradley has also started going to the gym to build up his fitness 3-4 times a week and his new job as a scaffolding worker keeps him active as well, so he’ll be raring to go when the official BSB season starts in April. If anyone would like to sponsor Bradley in his rookie BSB Superstock 600 championship get in contact with Shaun at S.R Scaffolding Services on 01823-971663 and help support him on his journey to BSB glory.
