WEST Buckland-based trainer Alex Dunn is having her best season ever and so far this term she has notched up 14 winners, three better than last term, writes WWN racing correspondent Richard Walsh.
Talking about her season so far Alex said: “To have had 14 winners over the jumps, plus two flat winners so far this season is just fantastic and we are very happy.
“We are having a cracking season and it’s really exciting the way that things are developing. We have got some nice new horses and nice owners as well and things are on the up at the yard.”
Members of the Alex Dunn Racing Club are sharing in the yard’s success and out of the 14 runs the horses have been placed 13 times which is a pretty good return.
“The Racing Club members have had fantastic value so far this season and I think we have only got two spaces remaining,” added Alex.
“The club must be one of the
best in the south-west and the members are having a fantastic time with five winners to celebrate.”
Looking ahead to the rest of the season Alex Dunn said: “Of course we are hoping for more winners, but it’s just about upping the anti really as far as we are concerned and getting better horses and better winners.”
