BOTTOM club Wellington play their last away match of the year in Regional Two South West when they travel the short distance to play second-placed Tiverton on Saturday, December 13.
The Devon side were having a particularly good season - until, that is, they came up against top of the table Weston super Mare who thumped them 67-12 at home in their last game.
Tiverton will be looking to complete the season’s double over Wellington, having won 52-19 at the Athletic Ground in early September. However, Wellington were unlucky not to beat Tiverton in March of this year, losing a thrilling away game 18-13.
Meanwhile, Weston super Mare will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record when they play away to Penzance & Newlyn on Saturday, having opened up a 14-point lead at the top after their stunning victory over Tiverton.
Winscombe, who are now only two points behind Tiverton and have a match in hand, play away to Okehampton who are lying in fifth spot, while Wadebridge Camels will be hoping to keep up with the top teams when they play at seventh-placed Crediton.
Fixtures: Crediton v Wadebridge Camels, Cullompton v Teignmouth, Okehampton v Winscombe, Tiverton v Wellington, Penzance & Newlyn v Weston super Mare, Ivybridge v North Petherton.
Wellington 2nd XV, who have also yet to win a game in Counties Three Somerset South, will be hoping to end a run of nine successive defeats when they play at home to their North Petherton counterparts (2.30p.m.).
Tor top the division and have a one-point lead over second-placed Wells who have a game in hand and a 100 per cent record. Fixtures: Crewkerne v Wells, Hornets v Tor, Wellington v North Petherton, Wyvern v Martock, Bridgwater & Albion v Wiveliscombe, Weston super Mare v Chard.
