WELLINGTON Town's 24/25 season at Under 14 level officially came to an end following their end of season awards at the clubhouse.

Leo Mold-Dunn, Town's reliable centre-back, picked up the most-improved player award, while Zac Foster scooped both the player's player and supporters’ player of the year award.

Fletcher Langley's excellent season was rewarded with the manager's player of the year award.

Town, who were proudly sponsored by Muller Milk & Ingredients Distribution, kicked off their campaign in Division 2 of the Under14 section of the Taunton and District Youth Football League with a chastening defeat away to Minehead in September.

Three more early season losses were followed by an excellent 3-0 win over Watchet Town before putting 10 past VPR a fortnight later. And while the team experienced narrow losses to Staplegrove and Tone Youth Wasps in November, the signs of improvement and togetherness were there for everyone to see.

Their 3-1 triumph over Minehead on the final day of the season may have given Welly only their fourth win of the campaign, but the manner of their victory will give them plenty of belief and optimism as they build towards the start of the new season this coming September.

Wellington Town U14 would like to thank Darren Winter for the last four years as a coach and his son Archie. Darren has decided to step down as coach of the U14 and help the U13 next season where Archie will be playing. We would like to wish Darren and Archie all the best for next season.

*After a not such a good start, Wellington Town finished eighth in Division Two of the Under 14 sectionin the Taunton Youth League. The division was won by Isle of Wedmore Lions who lost only one game and finished one point ahead of runners-up Tone Youth Wasps.
