WEMBDON vs Wellington U9s: In the blistering heat at Bridgwater, the young Wellington squad travelled to take on Wembdon in an eagerly anticipated matchup. Determined to showcase their prowess in passing football, the Wellington team did not disappoint, with each player contributing to an exciting and well-coordinated display.

The match was peppered with brilliant individual moments, but Wellington's true strength shone through in their teamwork and cohesion. Despite the challenging conditions, the players maintained their composure and discipline, leading to a successful morning that saw them emerge victorious in three out of four games.

The goalscoring honours were shared, with Louis Molloy netting on five occasions, Jude Norman and Rex Beatty each finding the back of the net twice. A special mention must go to the players who volunteered to don the goalkeeper's gloves, playing this unfamiliar position – Harrison Thompson, Fraser May, George Learmonth, and Flynn Anderson – for their valuable contributions between the sticks. As well as to regular keepers - Edward Huggett and Omiza Zutu Onozutu.

As the young Wellington players left the pitch, they could take immense pride in their overall display, which once again demonstrated their ability to work together as a cohesive unit and produce a masterclass in passing football, even in the blistering heat.
