WELLINGTON’S home game against Bradford Town in the Premier Divison of the Jewson Western Football League today (Sat) if OFF.
The pitch at the Carly Press Ground failed an inspection at nine o’clock this morning, which means Wellington’s first team have now suffered six successive postponements.
Wellington are hoping to re-start their season on Tuesday night with a trip to Cheddar in the quarter-finals of the Jewson League’s Les Phillips Cup.
Wellington Reserves’ match at Winkleigh in the Premier Division of the Devon & Exeter Football has already been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
However, the A team will definitely be in action – they host fellow strugglers Wyvern United in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League on the 3G pitch at Court Fields School (ko 2pm.).
