WELLINGTON’S football manager Clive Jones is looking to strengthen his side before Saturday’s home game against Cribbs in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League (3.00).
“We’re getting thin on the ground, especially after losing Ollie Nott with a recurrence of an ankle problem,” he said after Saturday’s extra-time win over Downton in the first round proper of the FA Vase. “It was not one of our best performances - I am relieved to get through,” said Jones.
Wellington will be looking to avenge a 1-0 defeat at Cribbs earlier this season when they looked the better side and should have won. “It was one of our better displays but we didn’t take our chances. I reckon it will be another close match.
“I don’t know whether Ollie will be fit. He has the same problem with the ankle he had last season,” added Jones.
