COURT Fields School student Brooke Aspin has signed to play for Bristol City’s Under 16 girls football team.

Brooke, who captained England Schools’ Under 15 team last year, comes from a footballing background with the Aspins having been officials of the Wellington club or played for the first team.

Her uncle Tim Legg is the current player-manager of Wellington’s senior side.

Brooke is also receiving backing from Chetwood Wealth Management, a Chartered financial planning firm in Wellington, who have always been keen to support the local community where it can.

Chetwood’s managing director Richard Hansell said: “Setting up a formal community sponsorship programme seemed like the perfect next step given our presence in Wellington for the last 20 years.

“I am thrilled to announce that the board has approved its first local sponsorship programme and we look forward to following Brooke as she progresses through the different age groups over the years ahead.”
